Playing Standards
The music is challenging, so, as a guide, this group is for Grade 5/6 players upwards.
But please don't be over modest, if you are around that level
and want to come and give it a try you will be made very welcome!
Our aim is to perform music in public concerts. Although this orchestra is organised by ELLSO, we are also open to non-ELLSO players.
We do not hold auditions, and so if you are interested in joining please do contact us
Concerts
Rehearsing at St Annes, Limehouse
Public concerts are given at the end of each term. These usually form part of the main ELLSO end of term concert. We also present our own independent concerts each year.
Coaching fees
- The fees per term are £80 (concessions available)
- There is an additional annual £15.00 ELLSO membership
fee (strings only), for which you will be kept informed of ELLSO
activities and other related events
- Wind players are exempt from paying the ELLSO membership fee because ELLSO activities are for strings only
